In history, our children will learn and research historical eras, learn historical skills of enquiry and chronological understanding. At Laurance Haines, we pledge to investigate the impact a particular event, body of people or country has had on the rest of the world. We will ensure there is investment in learning about decolonisation and the uncovering of hidden histories. Our children will build confidence to debate and pose questions which challenge the thinking for all which ultimately support a sense of belonging. We will ensure that there is positive representation of all communities and events in history and children will learn how to ensure the credibility of first and second hand resources.
