Geography
In geography, our children will explore how physical and human features make up the world around us and how the connections between humans and animals vastly changes the landscape across the globe. At Laurance Haines, we pledge to use language which supports positive representation of communities all over the world and pose questions which support the understanding of what a community needs to remain sustainable. Our children will use a range of sources: globes, maps, atlases and digital forms of information and will discover geography from a local to a global level. Identity and belonging are threaded deeply through this subject, as our children find out where they live, what their heritage is and how these contrast and connect with other humans and places in the world.
