Please see Herts SpLD outreach service graduated approach.
Support is provided under a three tier approach to prevent Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) from escalating. Schools have access at all times to information and resources on this website, the resource centre (by appointment with your link teacher) and a comprehensive training programme.
When concerns persist despite SpLD friendly provision, staff training and personalised reasonable adjustments, schools can access Tier 2 targeted advice and support by contacting their link outreach teacher directly.
In a small number of cases, where pupils are making slow progress in relation to their starting points following Tier 2 advice, schools can make a Tier 3 service request by completing the Hertfordshire Service Request form (click on link below) and sending it to Laurance Haines Outreach Service - 722. The parent/carer must give written consent by signing the service request.
When considering whether a Tier 3 service request is appropriate, schools should check that they have ready all the information that will be required. Please see forms attached.
