Laurance Haines Specific Learning Difficulties Base is a resource centre that strives to have up to date resources. We have copies of various interventions for viewing by our outreach schools. AcceleRead AcceleWrite - a time limited, one to one intervention using computer software
Freshstart - a phonics based approach to reading and writing for older children
RWinc & RWinc 1:1 Tutoring Kit - a daily catch up programme for younger children
Catch Up literacy - a structured one to one reading intervention
FFT Wave 3 - an early intervention for children in Year 1 who are struggling with early reading and writing
Hi 5 - a tailored, time limited intervention for children at KS2 working at 2C in reading and writing
Sound Foundations - Bearing Away, Bear Necessities and Dancing Bears
Spell Wise - a structured, multi sensory intervention for early synthetic phonics

Currently we are developing loan packs that our outreach schools can borrow for a couple of weeks to enable the school's senior leadership team to examine the resource before deciding if they would like to purchase directly from the publishers.

This is an area we are developing and are hoping to expand as funding allows.
The Base has specialist teachers who are accredited trainers for the interventions FFT and High 5. We offer training throughout the year for our outreach schools. Please check the inset page.
