DSPL 9

DSPL 9 is a Hertfordshire-wide partnership approach where parents, staff in early years settings and schools, further education colleges, local authority officers and representatives from other agencies, work together as part of an Area Group, reviewing and developing the range of provision and support services available to their local community. They are able to support parents with many areas of children’s development and signpost for additional support.

Herts Healthy Young Minds

Herts – Healthy Young Minds is designed to give parents and carers information on the help available for children and young people who may be experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties. It can feel overwhelming when you are trying to support your child through a difficult time so we wanted to collect all of the local and national resources and information in one place. Whether you are looking for hints and tips on how to start a difficult conversation, seeking advice and information or trying to find some support for yourself or your child, we hope that this site will give you what you need.

Young Minds

Young Minds know parenting isn’t always easy. Although it’s often amazing and rewarding to watch your children grow up, and to help them learn to be independent, it can also be really hard work. It can feel especially hard if your child's mood and behaviour seem different and you're not sure why, or what you can do to help. But you are not alone.

They have lots of practical advice and tips on supporting your child - from how to encourage your child to open up about their feelings to dealing with mental health services. No matter what you and your child are going through, things can get better. There is a Parents Helpline who can provide advice and support if you're worried about a child or young person.
