Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE)

In PSHE, our children develop knowledge and skills to keep themselves healthy and safe and prepare for what life will be like in their future. At Laurance Haines, we teach our children about emotional literacy, develop social and life skills, deliver relationship, sex and health education (RSHE) as well as promoting resilience in an age-appropriate way. Wellbeing is at the centre of the curriculum for PSHE. Our children will learn to understand themselves and how to understand the viewpoints of others through discussion and debate. We strive for every child to become responsible, successful members of the community through connecting with the values of modern society. Relationship education is important to support children with friendships and to safeguard them as they develop into young adults.  We aim to equip them for happier and healthier lives, giving them agency to make their way through the world.
